Too Soon to See Impact of Flood on Resale Statistics
While sales and prices continue to show improvement, the city and residents of community impacted by the recent flooding will face significant challenges over the upcoming months. Those who were planning on selling their homes, will have some big decisions to make. Take a discounted price or stay and fully remediate the property. Either way, in the short term, housing supply will likely be relatively tight.
The detached benchmark price for June is $459,700 an increase of 6.71% year-over-year. The apartment benchmark price is $264,000 an increase of 7.19% and the attached benchmark price is $295,000 an increase of 6.12%. Overall sales for the month totaled 2,317 units, compared with 2,196 during the same period last year.
