Calgary's Resale Market Continues to Improve

January sales and prices rise over previous year and prices have improved in the Calgary market, but it's important to keep some perspective on this. There is cautious optimism over the economic situation in Calgary.

The detached benchmark price for January is $436,900 an increase of 9.01% year-over-year. The apartment benchmark price is $251,300 an increase of 7.49% and the attached benchmark price is $283,400 an increase of 4.85%. Overall sales for the month totaled 1,230 units, compared with 1,068 during the same period last year.
